Privacy Notice

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Rare-Stone Development is a trading name of Joseph Jones, a sole trader in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This notice explains what happens to your information when you use this website and the HardwareGuard app.

The short version: HardwareGuard has no accounts and no tracking. Your sensor history and settings stay on your own PC. The app contacts the internet only to check for and download updates, and to ping 1.1.1.1 for the ping reading on the Game tab.

1. The HardwareGuard app

What the app stores on your PC

HardwareGuard saves the following in %LocalAppData%\HardwareGuard on your computer:

None of this is uploaded to us or to anyone else. It is removed if you uninstall the app and delete that folder.

What the app sends over the internet

The app does not include analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.

Administrator access

HardwareGuard asks for administrator rights so it can read sensor data directly from your hardware. It uses that access to read sensors and check for running programs in the Security tab. It does not use it to collect files or personal data.

2. This website

This website is a static site. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as your IP address in its server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.

3. Buying HardwareGuard

Purchases are handled by our payment provider, not by this website. The provider collects the details needed to take payment, apply tax and deliver your download (such as your name, email address, country and payment details) and is responsible for handling them under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information we need to record your order and to support you.

4. Contacting us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to help with your query, and we keep the conversation for as long as it is needed for that purpose or to meet our legal obligations.

5. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct and erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise them, contact us at support@rarestonedevelopment.co.uk.

6. Changes

If we change how HardwareGuard or this website handles data, we will update this notice and the date at the top.
